Pioneer Tool, Purulia

About 45 years back Pioneer Tools was established in Purulia for making carpentry tools. They used Railways for transporting their cargo till 1957, when TCI opened its branch in Calcutta. Since then they started booking their cargo through TCI. Later they requested the former founder chairman of TCI, Mr. D. P. Agarwal to open a branch in Purulia itself. Since that day till today, Pioneer Tools only uses TCI's services to transport its cargo.

Mr. Amarnath Karmakar, Partner-Pioneer Tools, said, "Our cargo reaches on time. Whenever we have tried any other service provider, our consignment reached late and neither did we get any information about it reaching or otherwise. TCI immediately informs of delivery to consignee by mailing a preaddressed postcard to us which is sent with the lorry copy of the consignment note. Once when the consignee did not take delivery, TCI carefully kept our material at their godowns and had it sent back on our request. We find the officials most cooperative. However if TCI could arrange to collect payments also on our behalf and route them to us, it will become the most convenient service available.
